The ADGE – anything but average

Colourful, quirky and eclectic, The ADGE Hotel in Sydney’s city fringe suburb of Surry Hills offers convenience, affordability, character and service that goes that little bit extra.

Walking into The Adge lobby feels a little like walking into indie art gallery, with its rustic concrete floors, high ceiling and most notably, the giant street art wall mural bursting with colour and interesting characters.

Despite the funky, hipster feel, the service is warm, welcoming and professional and you instantly realise The Adge plays along to its own tune, refusing to conform to the often dull uniform of everyday city hotels, a bit like a rebellious yet ambitious art student.

In fact, The Adge is anything but average and this is further confirmed once you step inside its disco inspired elevator, with its changing coloured lights and music increasing your anticipation as you’re not quite sure what to expect upon reaching your room.

Clean, spacious, airy and bursting with colour and light, the boutique hotel offers a range of fully-serviced, two bedroom, two bathroom apartments that are comfortable, stylish and contemporary.

From the Union Jack Smeg fridge to the colourfully striped carpet, The Adge has the character most hotel rooms lack and with plenty of space, floor to ceiling windows offering natural light and a balcony with great views, The Adge is perfect for a family, couples or a group of friends looking for a city weekend escape.

Although un-pretentious and laid back with a clear sense of humour, our apartment for the night was immaculate with the utmost care and attention to detail, from the beautifully displayed Morrisey vanity packs in the sparkling clean bathrooms to the complimentary welcome specialty coffee service and cheese platter on arrival.

The apartment is welcoming, comfortable and offers the convenience of everyday amenities on hand such as internal laundry, with washing and drying machines, LED televisions, full kitchen, office space and complimentary Wi-Fi service, making it an ideal choice for the corporate traveller.

Our stay at The Adge was clean, contemporary, comfortable and the warm, attentive service with a touch of humour from the staff was refreshing and added to a great city stay experience.

If you are looking for an easy, fun city stay that offers convenience, affordability and something a little different, The Adge comes highly recommended.  Be prepared to expect the unexpected at this great hidden hotel gem and have plenty to talk about upon returning home.
